That is my scripture. Learning to trust in God is not an easy lesson. Sometimes our own mistakes take us to the place where we are teachable. That is what happened to me. I came to Midland Fair Havens when I was entering my fourth semester of Nursing School. I had already learned to put my trust in God by going back to school, and having to totally depend on God for everything. He gave me everything I needed. There is a scripture that says “ Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Fair Havens helped me to understand that God loves me, and he really does want good things for me, for all of his children. Thanks to the faithfulness, and giving spirit that God has placed in the hearts of those who help make Fair Havens possible, I am now a Registered Nurse. I am buying a house, and I am finally able to provide well for my family. I understand the importance of accountability, and integrity. God transformed me, and still is. Thank You so much Midland Fair Havens. We love you!!!!

“The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles.

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed.”  Psalm 34:17,18.

      When Nicole and I first came to Midland Fair Havens, I could not have imagined the changes that were about to come into our lives.  The Psalms talks about how faithful the Lord is to care for us in our time of trouble and brokenness, and that is a promise I have seen fulfilled in our lives living here.

      When we first came to Midland Fair Havens I thought the future was hopeless, but with God there is always hope, and fortunately, he has a Plan B.  In the past 17 months we’ve been given a beautiful home, an opportunity to grow and heal, and live in peace.  I’ve had the opportunity to focus on education, which is cornerstone to having a future, and I would never have stepped in that direction if it weren’t for Fair Havens and the love and support of the staff.  We are very grateful for the time we’ve had here and for the new family we have come to know and love. I would like to offer a heartfelt thanks to the churches, businesses and individuals who have made Midland Fair Havens such a life-changing experience for us. God bless. Cindy
