Home Our Vision Success Stories! Enrichment CTR Events Services History

It has been a wonderful 10 years since we opened our doors to make a home for our very first family. The dreams of a small group of visionaries who wanted to offer hope to single mothers and their children is now Midland Fair Havens.

Thanks be to God for you, the precious friends and supporters across Midland who have made Midland Fair Havens what it is today. It truly is beyond our wildest imagination! You have made it possible for us to minister to so many precious families with all of your volunteer time and financial support.

Because of you, single mothers and their children are becoming successful, self-sufficient families who know the grace and love of God. What a gift!

We thank the Lord for His constant provision and guidance and ask His continued blessing upon our future. Thank you for being a part of it!

Citibank Donation

Midland Newcomers Club hosts  style show and silent auction at Greentree Country Club. Over $1,200 raised from the silent auction, luncheon and style show were donated to Midland Fair Havens. The proceeds will help meet the needs of single mothers and their children.

According to Newcomer member Holly Elliott, “The purpose of the Newcomer's Club is to welcome new residents, help them make new friends, and provide varied interest groups for them to participate in.  The club meets the first Thursday of each month in a member's home for an informal coffee.  A luncheon, general meeting and planned program is held the third Thursday of each month.  Charitable Contributions is a volunteer project adopted by the club, and we chose Midland Fair Havens as one of our recipients for this year.

Participating in an activity is a great way to meet new friends!  Here are some of the outside activities Newcomer's offers:  Book Ends (a book club), Wine and Dine ( a dinner club that includes spouses), Explorers (for the adventurer who likes to visit places of interest), Stitch and Sew, Bunco, Bridge, and Tennis.  We encourage new members to join in these activities and get involved.”

Transportation is a determining factor in  the success for single mothers. With the donation of this vehicle, Bill Johnston, will enable one mother to deliver her child to daycare, attend college, and work at a nearby restaurant. Bill has been instrumental in helping this mother achieve her career and lifetime goals.

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Blogathon Pledgers

For A Secure Online Donation!

Blogging begins at 0600 Pacific Time, on July 29, 2006. Sabbath schedule starts at 2100.

Stay up late, make a difference.

Blogathon is this Saturday, July 29, from 8 a.m. until Sunday, July 30, at 8 a.m.
So there’s still time.
What do you have to do to participate? Not a lot really ... just log on to
www.StickyDoorknobs.typepad.com or www.mywesttexas.com, stay up all night with me and drop an encouraging note from time to time, pledge a little if you haven’t already and play my trivia games. One-hundred percent of your pledge will go to Midland Fair Havens --, a local charitable organization helping women and their children with transitional housing during times of personal and family crisis. It’s a wonderful, life-giving, loving organization strong on family and faith.

You can pledge ... through Sticky Doorknobs' pledge page ... or through theBREW's ... or through my friend Eric’s page, at his Fire Ant Gazette pledge page.

We'll be offering valuable gift certificates from Barnes & Noble.com, iTunes and The Academy (and maybe even elsewhere) every hour for correct answers to sports trivia questions, the "Where in the World is Jimmy P?" photo trivia contest and Album Zoom-Ins (identify the album cover art, win a prize).

Jimmy Patterson and Eric Siegmund have survived the 24 hour Blogathon for 2006. Thanks to all the donors for your support and pledges that have helped them to set a new record total of $5000!

May God bless you as He changes lives through you and your gift.

We appreciate your support and encouragement. Be assured your donation will be used wisely and will touch countless lives. May the Lord richly bless you and your family for your kind spirit and generosity.

Thank you and "may the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. "2 Corinthians 13:14

Many thanks for Eric and Jimmy for sacrificing of themselves and virtual volunteers and advocates for this ministry.
