It has been a wonderful 10 years since we opened
our doors to make a home for our very first family. The dreams of a
small group of visionaries who wanted to offer hope to single
mothers and their children is now Midland Fair Havens.
Thanks be to God for you, the precious friends
and supporters across Midland who have made Midland Fair Havens what
it is today. It truly is beyond our wildest imagination! You have
made it possible for us to minister to so many precious families
with all of your volunteer time and financial support.
|
Because of you, single mothers and their children
are becoming successful, self-sufficient families who know the grace
and love of God. What a gift!
We thank the Lord for His constant provision and
guidance and ask His continued blessing upon our future. Thank you
for being a part of it!

Midland Newcomers Club hosts style show and silent auction at
Greentree Country Club. Over $1,200 raised from the silent auction,
luncheon and style show were donated to Midland Fair Havens. The
proceeds will help meet the needs of single mothers and their
children.
According to
Newcomer member Holly Elliott, “The purpose of the Newcomer's Club
is to welcome new residents, help them make new friends, and provide
varied interest groups for them to participate in. The club meets
the first Thursday of each month in a member's home for an informal
coffee. A luncheon, general meeting and planned program is held the
third Thursday of each month. Charitable Contributions is a
volunteer project adopted by the club, and we chose Midland Fair
Havens as one of our recipients for this year.
Participating
in an activity is a great way to meet new friends! Here are some of
the outside activities Newcomer's offers: Book Ends (a book club),
Wine and Dine ( a dinner club that includes spouses), Explorers (for
the adventurer who likes to visit places of interest), Stitch and
Sew, Bunco, Bridge, and Tennis. We encourage new members to join in
these activities and get involved.”

Transportation is a determining
factor in the success for single mothers. With the donation of this
vehicle, Bill Johnston, will enable one mother to deliver her child
to daycare, attend college, and work at a nearby restaurant. Bill
has been instrumental in helping this mother achieve her career and
lifetime goals.
The steadfast love of the Lord
never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every
morning; great is your faithfulness.
